I'm still finding that the vast majority of my Facebook contacts are not syncing due to Facebook's decision not to allow it!

Once again, I urge anyone unhappy with Facebook's decision to give them feedback directly by using the 'report a problem' option on the app.

I agree, my Facebook contacts are still not what they were before when I was able to link 500 friends. I have been complaining to Facebook through their feedback for days and still nothing. I believe alot of users would appreciate it if everybody complains or continues to if you already have:) it's a frusturating new "feature" Facbeook is doing!

i didnt give feedback i reported it as an issue
this is what i said
This is regarding ios 6 contact syncing.
I use ios 6 and Facebook contact sync. But recently fb doesn't sync contacts who haven't updated their phone numbers. This has lead to only some of my facebook contacts appearing. And birthdays don't sync anymore because of this. I also used to email contacts on their facebook email Id . Which used to sync before having the requirement of updating phone number to appear in my contacts.
If people prefer less clutter, there are many like me who prefer it the way it was before. So if fb considers viable could u kindly make this option available to me and many like me.

and what about birthdays syncing to calenders without phone numbers updated.....
fb had it available before and now removing it handicaps me a little.....
why remove features, instead of adding more and keeping the existing ones ....
if i want the clutter why is fb deciding for me......and this is all because this was available before recently....

It seems a very retrograde step taken by Facebook....now offering only part of a facility that they used to offer! If users didn't like the 'clutter', then they always had the option to not sync their Facebook contacts with their address book. Personally, I only ever synced my address book contacts that were on Facebook.

Hey guys! I think I found the solution to get the Facebook profiles pictures synced back into your contacts!
http://9to5mac.com/2013/06/06/facebook-aims-to-declutter-the-ios-contacts-app-by -no-longer-syncing-friends-without-useful-contact-info/?utm_source=feedburner&ut m_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+9To5Mac-MacAllDay+%289+to+5+Mac+-+Apple+Intel ligence%29
In the article that I posted above, it says: "friends that have no contact information on their profile 'OTHER THAN A @FACEBOOK.COM EMAIL ADDRESS' will not be synced to the Contacts address book going forward."
So basically all you have to do is go to Contacts, select a contact, enter that contact's facebook email address in their info. Then go to Settings App. Then Facebook. Then "Update All Contacts". Then go back to that Contact and their Facebook profile picture should be synced into their info!
I know it's a pain in the *** to do this manually, but it's the only way!

Wait where exactly do I put the @facebook.com email address? and even then would it be linked like before? I do hope that your solution will fix it:) but where do i put the @facebook.com email address even?

Go to the Contacts app. Select a contact. Then it brings up that's contact's info. Go to Edit. Scroll down until you see "email" and just type in that person's facebook email address (?@facebook.com). I sent it to "home" email address, but I don't think that matters. Then go to the Settings App. Then Facebook. Then "Update All Contacts". Then go back to that Contact and their Facebook profile picture should be synced into their info!
I know it will be a pain to do this manually one by one, but it should work for every contact. Hope this helps!

But additional info like birthday, even though we could saw it from their profiles, but it won't sync into calendar app or contact app too right?

on Facebook App, go to the triple bars on top left, then all the way down on that menu to "report a problem", then fill the form.

@mate_88 I tried doing that right now and all it says is 0 contacts updated:/ I'm going to wait a couple of hours perhaps that might help, but other that that I dont know what I did wrong

Hello!! This @facebook.com trick is not working for me. The contacts do not sync anyways. Is it still working for you guys?
Currently Being ModeratedJul 14, 2013 12:47 PM (in response to x Hazard)
No the @facebook.com trick isn't working for me either. I just hope Facebook eventually fixes it, I've been putting feedback and reporting problems to them about this issue.
