Camera App Photo Preview Blurry

Heres an interesting issue i found on my iPhone 5. If i use the camera app to take a photo, then swipe left to view the photo. The last taken photo is extemely blurry. Most camera preiews do this then load the clear photo, but thisone stays blurry. Ifi go into the photos app and view the photo its ok, also if i rotate the screen on the blurry photo it will be clear again. Anyone else having this issue? It is bothersome asi always swipe left to check the photo i just took. Have tried restarting camera app and hard reset. I imagine Apple could release a software fix for this?

Unfortunately, I havent had that issue, so not sure if it is something specific with your phone/camera or not. Ive taken about 20 photos since yesterday with the new iphone5, mostly of my dog outside and I compared a few of those to recent ones I took with my iphone4 last week and I do notice a difference in quality and crispness too, so I am very happy with the better camera on the iphone5.

I have this exact issue on my 64gig black iphone 5. If you launch camera from the lock screen it's ok; however, if you launch the camera app, shoot a picture, then swipe to preview it it comes in blurry/pixelated. In order to fix that, you simply need to rotate the phone. If you don't rotate it, it remains pixelated.

This all goes away when you open the photo app. This seems to be a software bug to me. Hopefully apple will get on this one and provide a quick fix for an annoying problem.

Ok, so I'm not the only one. This is such an obscure error, I dont think a lot of people would have found it yet. I called Apple and they told me to perform a restore, which I did...same problem. This issue seems software related. Hopefully if enough people talk about it a fix would be released. Right now it only happens 50% of the time. Sometimes the photo is fine. I didnt notice that it doesnt occur when the camera app is activated from the lock screen. Good catch. I have debated exchanging my phone but if it is software related I'd rather wait. Plus its a minor issue compared to some others (light leak, scratches) that other people are experiencing. I'll keep this thread updated...

Wow I'm surprised no one is talking about this yet. My brother found this happening in his iphone 5 within a matter days of use. He told me about it and now that i just got my iphone 5, i discovered it to be true myself.

This occurs regardless whether the camera app is launched from the lock screen or home screen. It seems to happen only when you swipe right from the camera view to get a quick glance at your photos. The last photo will appear blurry when viewed through the swipe method rather than the traditional method of doing so through tapping the box on the lower left . Like Egibbys21 described, rotating the photo will clear it up. However I found that this problem repeatedly happens when a newer photo is taken in the opposite orientation of the last. Also, so long as the blurry view isn't cleared up through rotating the photo like how Egibbys21 described, all last taken photos, regardless of orientation, will appear blurry when viewed through swipe method.

It is somewhat unfortunate and seems either users don't use the swipe function like they do in windows phone, or those photos have been largely mistaken as truly blurry. I hope others will be able to duplicate this issue and bring this up.

I have this same problem aswell with the newest iOS (6.0.2). I have had it for a long time pretty much since I got my iPhone 5, which was when it first came out, but I have been putting up with it, until I decided to search it out to see if anyone else was experiencing this. I didn't know about rotating to clear it up. I usually have to unlock my phone then relock and go back to the photos and it is clear. I always use the lockscreen camera because I find it much quicker to access (even if I'm using my phone unlocked ;))
