Just one note from controller doesn't work

Logic Plays all the notes from my M-audio 02 controller except middle C. I think i have done all the resets that are mentioned in the manual. The computer sees that I am playing the note (i checked the audio midi set-up), but middle c isn't being 'heard' by logic. Thanks.

try disabling MIDI rempte. It may be reserved by a function/Key Command as MIDI

I did this and I am still having the problem...I just realized that Logic does recognize when I release middle c. It says 'C3 off.' And I know my controller is ok because when I change octaves the key works just fine. So the problem is: Logic only recognizes my middle C when I release the key. Thanks so much.

Did you check your key commands to see if that MIDI note may have accidentally been assigned to a function? Only other thing I can thing of is to trash your preferences and restart Logic (caveat: any key commands you defined will be gone, so you may want to export them first).

To add to jord: Preserving the KCs will not solve the problem if it is in the KCs.

You could move the prefs to the desktop, see if it works, import the KCs, see if it works, if it doesn't it is in the KCs.

hey, thanks...i have trashed:

com.apple.logic.pro

from my preferences and the problem persists...i have reset my 02 controller just in case it was sending something weird to Logic. I have swapped out the usb cable..Any other ideas?

Do you have any other MIDI applications/hardware synths you could use instead to see if the problem persists?

I'm thinking it may be hardware problem on controller.

Logic has nore than 1 preferences file. Try removing more of them.
