Home Share ios6

Any ideas? I have a problem with MBPro 10.8.1 iTunes v10 'home share' on ipad2 ios6 and iphone4S ios6

I can see all songs only, but only limited number of Albums and Artists. Searching presents 'go to store' for a known artist.

I have unshared all devices iPhone4S ios6, iPad2 ios6
Stopped the home share from MBookPro. 10.8.2
Reset my router
Shut iTunes
Restarted iTunes and told it to add to library, poiting at the original source material. This just updates the iTunes db, for sure.
Restarted iTunes again
Checked all audio edia is available as expected on MBookPro.... good.
Turned on iPhone and signed into home share.
Both devices take forever to load share and both show no artis or album entries for share, but listing songs shows all tracks.

all worked prior to ios6...... AssUMe....... ios6 issue?

I also noticed IPv4 and 6 are used for listening on port 3689

MacBook Pro (17-inch Late 2011), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.1), ios6 on devices. iTunes10

Same issues here, except on Windows. And, when I use the search field under "songs" from the iPad, the whole music bails out.

Home sharing is just messed up after upgrading (or is it downgrading?) to IOs6.

I can use home sharing just fine on my macbook pro and imac, but I get random errors when trying to use it on my iphone or ipad (only a few bands/songs listed, iphone freezing, you name it).

It seems to me like when it comes down to networking, Apple does not seem to be able to get his trip together (mail.me, itunes match, and now home sharing. Siri only works for 10 minutes a couple of times a day...).

Also, to information or acknowledgement is given about it... this is a real mess.

Apple has build a good reputation over the years, but lately it seem to be working really hard to destroy it.

As a first result of this policy, I'm dropping my iphone for a Galaxy, we'll decide later what to do with the rest of Apple gadgets, but it doesn't look good to me. They seemed to be so unable to fix mail.me that they ended up dropping it, will it be the same for home share and match?

Very, very disappointed. Apple just... doesn't work

This has fixed the issue for me (it was a file in the media library that has been corrupted after updating).

1. Google/download/install iExplorer (it's a software that lets you access your iphone/ipad direclty)

2. Plug in iPhone/iPad and open iExplorer

3. Delete the iPhpone(or iPad)\Media\iTunes_Control\Music folder (JUST MUSIC, NOT THE WHOLE FOLDER)

4. Reboot the iPhone/iPad

5. Enjoy!

Nevertheless, I still believe Apple really screwed this one up and we shoudn't spend hours on google looking for solutions to issues cause by a bad software

Well... it worked for me for a whole week, then it got screwed again. Now I can see the shared library but only few songs.

I guess the simple fact is that home sharing doesn't work on ios6, that's all.

Try comparing the sort fields between shared and missing tracks/albums. I am having trouble with videos where before ios6 tvShows appeared in order by "sort album" and now they are sorting by "title." Removing a value from the "sort album" field seems to remove the item from the shared library.
