Verifying account information - session timed out

I had the same problem. I went to settings, Date/Time and removed set automatically and worked for me. Hope it helps!

I am having the same problem. But for some reason messing with the date and time does nothing for me. I have to reciently upgraded to the iOS6.

Clear your cookies. This should work. It did for me.

Had the same issue. Here's a silly work around.

Open iTunes on your Mac or PC and sign out then sign back in and you will be prompted to verify payment info just like on your phone...except it will work. Then you will be able use your phone to download apps again.

I am having the same problem, removed the cookies, and removed "set automatically" for date and time and the problem still exist.

Just figured it out. Well it worked for me. On the phone go to Settings. Go to iTunes & App Store. Click on your Apple ID then View Apple ID. Sign in if required. Click on payment information. Fill it out. And hit done. This last screen will be the same one that has been giving us the trouble. But it didn't time out this time and I successfully downloaded my first iPhone 5 app. Yea!!!

Same problem none of above fixes have worked. For the bman, I get the same time out error when I go to the account settings page for payment information. Should have known better than upgrade!

I just came here to say how I just had the same problem with my iPad 3 that I upgraded to ios6 and getting the session time out when trying to download an app. I tried everything here- reset everything, changed the set date/ time, then cleared cookies etc., logged out of apple id, logged in, inbetween trying to download the app... last thing I did was go to settings to fiddle with the payment info. (even though I have no payment info set up). Tapped it and miraculously it didn't time out (when previously I was tapping the apple id above it it timed out). Out of faith, went back to app store, tapped install, got asked for the security questions, and it worked!

I don't know if this is helpful or what exactly I did that did the trick.... maybe just perserverence. :-/

I'm having the same issue but while I try to log in to my Yahoo email account. I have tried the Time and the cookies advices but it helps only the first time that I log in, if I log out and try to log in to the same or another account the issue appears, and I can' erase the cookies everytime I want to check my email accounts at Yahoo. Anyone else is having the same issue? Ideas on how to solve it? Or who should fix this, Apple or Yahoo?
