How to use key bindings

Hello

I am wondering how you use the key bindings within Pages.

I have applied F1 to the style "Title" but when I press on F1 my brightness goes one down (because thats what that key actually does...)

So how do I use the key bindings in Pages ?

Thanks!

iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.5)

Hi Rani,

Look into the Keyboard and Mouse/Keyboard and Trackpad pane of System Preferences for a page similar to this one:

User uploaded file

With the box unchecked, the Fkeys perform the hardware tasks shown by the icons on the keys, and the software functions assigned to 'standard function keys' when the fn key is included in th keypress combination.

Checking the box reverses the sutuation (requiring fn - F1 to lower screen brightness).

Regards,

Barry
