iMac still wants to connect to LogMeIn!

Hi there,

I opened Console and noticed that every few seconds I got this message

22/09/2012 17:52:16com.apple.launchd[1](com.logmein.hamachi[274]) posix_spawn("/Library/Application Support/LogMeIn Hamachi/bin/hamachid", ...): No such file or directory
22/09/2012 17:52:16com.apple.launchd[1](com.logmein.hamachi[274]) Exited with exit code: 1

I was under the impression that I deleted everything on my iMac to do with Hamchi and LogMeIn but obviousl not.

The is nothing in my libraries that shows Hamachi or LogMeIn

How can I stop my mac or LogMeIn from trying to access my computer?? It's making the starup take way longer than usual

Please help

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

LogMeIn installed a at boot Kernel Extension file in your System/Library/Extensions folder.

This gets loaded when you boot the machine.

It's always advised to use the developers uninstaller to catch everything, sometimes you have to install to unstall all the parts. Perhaps they also provide manual uninstall instructions.

In your case you can reboot the machine holding the Shift Key down, then head to the System/Library/Extensions folder and remove anything with "LogMeIn" in the name (careful in this folder!)

Then reboot the machine normally and it should be gone.

No Hamachi in the name?

Did you reboot the machine?

Ask the developer for manual uninstall instructions, if that doesn't work, your machine is likely pwned in some manner or the uninstaller isn't complete.

Then do a #8 Reinstall Just OS X in the Step by Step user tip, that will give you a fresh copy and boot anything out of root.
