mac pro freeze while transfering information using migration assistant

i bought a mac pro last night and started transfering documents with migration assistant, but i have about 59 minuts left and it wouldn't not move further down... i've been waiting for about three hours now n it's stuck at 59 min. my old macbook which i bought in 2005 shows that it still has seven hours and 42 minutes left and not moving further. please help asap thanks
