iPhone 5 won't auto connect to Bluetooth

I have the same problem with my easy talk in car kit and iPhone 5 no problem with 3GS but I tryed a 4s and it has the same problem they both run the same Bluetooth but the kit defiantly works think there must be a problem with phone Bluetooth system as 4s and 5 are the same

Didn't have this issue with the 4S but now the 5 won't auto connect to my car just like the posters above.

Same problem. Any link to brand of car / stereo perhaps?

My 4 worked fine, 5 won't connect. Is it a iOS or phone model issue?

I got it to work! After trying a bunch of different things like changing the device's name, rebooting the phone with Bluetooth disabled, and deleting the phone from the car's memory numerous times, here's what ended up doing the trick for me:

1. Click the voice control button on the steering wheel.

2. Say "setup"

3. Go through the menu options and delete the phone this way.

4. Go through the menu options and add the phone this way.

Voila! Now it automatically connects to my phone again when I start the car.

Note that you can only do this while the car is NOT in motion. It won't work while you're driving.

I can confirm that it worked for me too! It makes no sense, there's no reason why that should work, but it does seem to work. Thank you!

I am having the same issue with my 2008 Toyota Land Cruiser. I have had no issues with my iphone4, but now that I have the 5, it wont even let me connect the device, much less auto connect.

I tried saying "setup" in the Audi Allroad, but that didn't work. BUT what did work was deleting all pairings, and there we were!!

Thanks! This solved my issue too. In my case, by selecting the 'list phones' option I realized that there were 2 phones paired. For that reason the audio system always required me to choose the 'select phone' option before allowing me to use my new phone.
