Import Contacts from Android to iOS6

Hello,

I just purchase two new iPhone 5 , I am using an iMac running OSX 8.2. I was on T-Mobil with an Android phone and now I am with AT&T.

On my Android phone most of my contacts have been input into the phone manualy. So they are not sync with anything.

What I would like to do is import my contacts from my Android phone into my OSX contact app. then I can sync them from there.

The only solution I can think of is to manually type them into contacts.

I do have a Gmail account, but I can not figure out how to do it from there, I also want to get rid of the Gmail account, I only had it to get emails to my

Android phone.

Any advice would be great !

Thank You

John

Well, if the contacts are saved to the SIM card in the Android phone, you can import them to the iPhone through settings. However, the easiest would be to use Gmail, or you could also try and import the contacts from the Android phone to a supported application on the computer and then sync them to the iPhone. On the Mac, that would be Address Book. See if you can import your contacts to there from the Android phone.

They would not get imported to iTunes, as iTunes really does not store anything but the music/tones. Since you have Windows XP, unless you have Outlook, you would need to use Outlook Express. Problem with that would be importing to that. I'm not sure, but I believe that you would be able to sync directly from Gmail contacts if you set up your Gmail account as an Exchange account on the iPhone.

Um...In your case, I suggest you to have a Google account which is universally useful.

Almost every kind of phone syncs with their contacts, mail and calendars.

But most of the time, I would like to do that by the way below.

If you want to know how toTransfer Contacts from Android to iPhone, I think this would be the most convenient way.

With the help of it, what you need to do just connect both of your phone to the PC and then transfer the data quickly and easily.
