Yesterday the flag mail option in the iOS 6 mail app was working fine. Today when I tap the icon it only gives me the option to mark as unread and the option to flag is missing. I also noticed that the flagged folder is gone too. Any help is appreciated.

The solution you posted rought the flagging ability--thank you. But it did not create a "flagged" smart folder (like the VIP folder). So I can't really see all my flagged emails and have to look for them, which defeats the purpose..
any ideas?
After I fixed the issue the flag option is available. When I flagged my first item it created a flagged folder. Did this not happen for you?
