My Ipod has said do not disconnect for over 24 hours!!!!!

At first I got a warning that said "itunes.exe-corrupt file", so I looked it up and found out that I had to either update or restore my ipod. So I did. 4 times later and my ipod still will not stop flashing "Do not disconnect"!
VERY VERY FRUSTRATED!!!

And are you disconnecting your iPod the correct way? Make sure that you eject it safely as described in this article.

Open iTunes prefs -> iPod.
Make sure Enable Disk Use is not checked.

How to Safely Disconnect

Now, is everything up to date?
iTunes
iPod Updater
Updating iPod's Software

If so, connect the iPod back up and try to restore...
Restore the iPod

If it is still not recognized, try the steps listed here...
iPod missing in "My Computer" or in iTunes for Windows

Also, if you when you connect your iPod it appears in My Computer, see this...
iPod shows up in Windows but not in iTunes

It is in My Documents -> My Music -> iTunes
