You got to spend $30 for an adapter to connect your previous docking stations + car adapaters etc to your iPhone 5?? Apple!! You guys are really being greedy! It cannot go on forever..
Is there another shop where I can find it cheaper?

Other's Lighting cables are not the same as Apple's. Apple's cables have electronic chips and they have not released the specs for them so no else can duplicate them (yet). Here is an article on a teardown of Apple's Lighning cables:

What I think is annoying is that when I ordered my iPhone the website said an adapter was included, it was later announced this was an error on the website.
This left me without an adapter and if I do want one then I now need to pay a shipping cost as the order is below that of free shipping.
Apple being Apple I would have thought they would have included this as it was thier mistake.
