mountain lion 10.8.2 parental controls keep crashing

Hi, I too have the same problem. After installing 10.8.2 in my MacBook, my parental controls keeps crashing and also my children's account cannot access any website, even after I have opened the website at the prompt that request the main administrator authorisation.

Same problems.

Apple... Please release a fix soon.

It's not only keep crashing, that still can be fixed somehow. The real issue here is even though it is kind of working again, it constantly draws 40%-50% of CPU time, making the computer *very* slow (I'm on a MBP 2009).

Now my only choice is to disable it until Apple got a fix on this whole Parental Control not working thing on 10.8.2.

In 10.8.3 I turned off PCs for affected user from the User Pref Pane. Then I could open PC pref pane and close it, then I could reenable. But then I ran into the https problem (see blog post).

I have the same problem with 10.8.3 now. I use parental controls for my children and this needs to be fixed. The process keeps on crashing and it is making the Macintosh unusable for the kids. 😠

Same problem with 10.8.4. Apple, what's up? Fix this already.

And same problem with 10.8.5 apparently. Any solutions?

Actually, I just repaired permissions and that seemed to work.
