does the 7th gen.... ipod classic have a glass screen an what the average life span with normal everday useage,,,,

It is a glass display and the average lifespan depends on a number of factors such as how often it is used and under what conditions, etc. I would say 2 - 3 years overall is a very good number for these types of devices, but many users recieve many more years of use than that.
