Sep 22, 2012 9:58 PM in response to derekfromburbankby ATX_Rob,Same problem here. I've only seen it working on iPhone 5's with the new OS. My iphone 4s with iOS 6.0 won't load the app store, but my iPhone 5 will. Apple has yet to comment on the issue at all. Hopefully the tech engineers will fix it when they come back to work on Monday. It would be helpful if Apple would at least acknowledge the issue, but then again, it ain't the same company anymore since Jobs passed on.

Sep 23, 2012 5:40 AM in response to derekfromburbankby tamara w,According to MacWorld to fix problem follow these instructions. I did and it works. I'm still not sure how to get the coupons, etc into the folder in Passbook. You have to get the Apps and there aren't many right now that work with it. This at least gets you past the message you get when you try to open AppStore.
1. Open Settings
2. Go to General
3. Go to Date and Time
4. Switch off Automatically setting
5. Go to Date and Time
6. Fast forward to 2013 (one year from now)
7. Go back to Passbook and click the App Store
8. It should work
9. Go back to Settings then General, then Date and Time, turn Automatically back to On.

Sep 23, 2012 5:57 AM in response to tamara wby ATX_Rob,Tried this same solution. Doesn't work for me but it does seem to work for about half the people out there. Apple is still staying quiet on the issue.

Sep 23, 2012 9:54 AM in response to derekfromburbankby wavewuver,I was able to get to the app store and downloaded a couple of apps (Target & Walgreen). So the app's show up but what the heck do you do with them. They show up outside of Passbook......I thought they were to be under one app. I'm confused.

Sep 23, 2012 10:04 AM in response to wavewuverby BigBopper,Passbook acts as a container for "passes" that come from somewhere else. That can be from another app, or from an email attachment or from a web site.
I can't say that it is very useful for me at this time. The set of sources is too limited. I wish that I could add an arbitrary loyalty or membership card by photographing a physical card or scanning the barcode.

Sep 23, 2012 4:53 PM in response to wavewuverby kimyenc,I'm in the same boat. i don't understand it at all either. I downloaded two apps and they showed up on my homescreen. Now what? I read at how-to about passbook on passsource.com but that confused me even more. Test passes? Yeah, I don't get it.

Sep 23, 2012 7:48 PM in response to derekfromburbankby poconnor47,I, too, have tried the work-arounds as indicated by tamara w. I have tried it numerous times over cellular and 3G connections. I have either gotten the cannot connect message or an infinite wait on it trying to connect to the iTunes store. I am on a 4S. This is very frustrating. Is there a way to get to the Passbook apps via a different means?
