iOS 6 - YouTube favorites gone/lost

I understand iOS 6 got rid of the native YouTube app. I have downloaded Google's YouTube app. However, all the favorites from the native YouTube app are also gone. And they are not showing up in Safari as a bookmark folder.

Where did the favorites go? Did Apple just delete them?

YouTube favorites moved to a special folder in Safari's bookmarks during the iOS 6 upgrade.

I'm not sure if you actually read my post, but as I originally stated, they are not showing up in Safari.

My bad, I didn't read that you had already checked Safari.

If you had logged in with your Google account in YouTube, then your favorites should have been synced to that Google account. Logging into www.youtube.com with your Google account should get you the list of favorites back.

Note that some people have reported that http://www.youtube.com/ complains about not having Flash installed. You may try clearing Safari's cookies to fix that, or try http://m.youtube.com/ instead.
