No "iCloud" button in safari (v6.0.1, OSX 10.8.2)

Very frustrated right now. Have been searching and trying all day to get this to work and have come up with absolutely nothing.

My safari does not have an "icloud" button. Icloud itself is working fine and syncing all my data across devices. I bought the iphone 5 and was excited to try out some of the new features so I went ahead and upgraded to OSX 10.8.2 (which came with safari v6.0.1).

For reference I have a MBP mid 2009 model (15 inch) as I said running on OSX 10.8.2

Now what is really bugging me is that from my iphone 5 I am able to see the pages running on my mac but obviously not the other way around since I don't even have an icloud button to press.

What gives?

MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

for ****'s sake.

The button was not provided in safari...after messing with the toolbar I saw I could drag "icloud" onto it. Why it was not there to begin with is ridiculous.

I'm an ***, goodnight.

Is there a tab or something next to the "url box"? This stuff is driving me nuts ive been looking at this for a few days with nothing working. Also when I check my icloud tabs on my iphone 5 it shows one thing from a couple of days ago??? I've done everything it says to do on Apple to try and "reset"...any help would be greatly appreciated.

Right click next to the URL box and hit "customize toolbar" [this only works for Safari]

drag and drop the "icloud" button over to the toolbar wherever you want it (it looks like a cloud).

now whenever you click that cloud it will show you any tabs open on your iphone

from your iphone you can go to safari --> bookmarks --> icloud tabs and it will show all tabs open in safari on your laptop

I am not quite sure if this is the answer to your question, the question itself was confusing. If not please clarify and I'll see what I can do to help. I hate when **** doesn't work.
