Earpod problems

My new earpods change the volume on my iPhone 5 by themselves. Anyone else having that issue??

My volume control is messed up also, but only for incoming calls when using my Earpods. It resets to maximum and blasts my ears. Both the earpods and the phones volume control get stuck on max. When I dial out, or play music, they are fine... Also, any movement causes static.

What a drag. Switched back to my bluetooth set. Too bad, they sounded pretty good.

I just started having this problem, too. My EarPods will max out the volume as if I'm holding down the + button. I can try fighting it by lowering the volume, but the EarPods keep raising it.

If I unplug the EarPods, the volume stays. But as soon as I plug them back in, the volume starts raising again.

These are definitely defective and I'll be seeking replacements from Apple.

No problem with different volume in each ear...just very low volume even at the highest setting. I like to make my ears ring when in the gym but with the new earpods there just isn't the oomph that there used to be. I have now transferred by whole music library to my Kindle and take that to the gym instead. The Kindle is a pain in the wrist to carry about but it does the job.
