The alert "Find My IPad Alert - OK" appeared on my screen. My IPad will not let me acknowledge this alert. When acknowledged only blinks and remains displayed. Siri will work and Icons appear in background to alert but no other input is accepted.
Have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Thank you KP, this did the trick for me too! Frustrating that there is not more info in the instructions of the App, my iPad was locked without me doing anything, I asked it to search and then it was locked, I did not ask it to lock it? Perhaps a fault they have to iron out, but I am glad for your info, I was certainly panicking! :-)
