I read about problems people have had upgrading their OS.
When I upgrade to Mountain Lion, will all other aplications as Logic Studio and Final Cout Studio remain intact with all their files and setups?
iMac, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)
BEFORE attempting any Major Upgrade... get yourself an External Hard Drive... and create a Bootable Clone Backup of your current Hard Drive...
By far the easiest way to make such a Backup, is to use something like
SuperDuper http://www.shirt-pocket.com/
or CCC http://www.bombich.com/
That way, should anything untoward happen during the Upgrade,
You will NOT LOSE ANYTHING.
(Get an EHD that is at least equal to your current Drive...)
And with regards to Mountain Lion...
Check here for compatibility of 3rd party Software you may be using...

I have an EHD for both my iMac and MBP.
Doesn't seem to make so much difference to me to upgrade as everything is working fine in those aplications.

If it ain't broke.. etc...
And if you have no compelling reason to upgrade... stay with what you have if it does what you want...

There is some info in the video why, in this case working in Logic, you should not upgrade to either Lion or Mountain Lion but rather just stay with Snow Leopard.
