Don't know about twitter, but Facebook notifications don't seem to be working, nor are gmail notifications.

Facebook:

Posting from notification center is working, but notifications don't get pushed there.

I've added my Facebook account in System Prefs > Mail, Contacts & Calendar.

I can also see Facebook in System Prefs > Security & Privacy > Privacy (No apps requesting access though).

Gmail:

Added to System Prefs > Mail, Contacts & Calendar.

Enabled desktop notifications in Gmail (not sure whether this is necessary)

I've also opened a gmail tab in safari.

Both Facebook and Safari are enabled in System Prefs > Notification Center.

Any suggestions ?

Update regarding Facebook notifications: I tried something I read and it worked.

Here's a possible fix: Go to System Prefs>Notifications, remove/disable all apps from notification center, reinable them, then reboot.

Worked for me!

As far as gmail notifications go, I understand you have to have the mail.app running for them to work, which is quite silly..

mgiovanos does not work for me. thanks though... Hope apple will do something about it. Windows 8 is just around the corner and they got the best facebook integration ever.
