how do I upgrade from 10.6.8 to 10.7

I need to upgrade my MacBook from Snow Leopard 10.6.8 to Lion 10.7 before I can upgrade to the latest Mountain Lion OS...but I can't find where to download Lion 10.7...does anyone know where I can find the download from Snow Leopard 10.6.8 to Lion 10.7? thanks.

Hi. There is no need to upgrade to Lion (10.7) to get Mountain Lion. You can upgrade directly from Snow Leopard (10.6.8) see the link below for details.

I really need to know if I can upgrade directly to Mountain Lion without going throught Lion 10.7.0 because Apple states:


"Upgrading from OS X Snow Leopard

If you’re running Snow Leopard (10.6.x), update to the latest version of Snow Leopard before you download OS X Mavericks from the Mac App Store. Click the Apple icon and choose Software Update to install OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.8, the latest version."

in the link provided ! I do not know what to think !
