Apr 10, 2014 5:55 PM in response to aikhianby AdrienC,This is exactly what I wanted to do for months - thanks for bring this up Bioloo, and thanks for the reply Aikhian!
It worked perfectly.
PS: And to all: I have been using Windows for 15+ years since Win95 and just recently switched to MacOS.
I will never come back and I can tell you that OMG yes Apple desktop is far more intuitive that any WinOS that have ever existed. Just this little thing about emptying the windows while being able to bring back just one window in order to drag and drop a snapshot. many thanks again

Apr 10, 2014 8:13 PM in response to venkatrameshby AdrienC,Actually this is not the current gesture - In order to wipe out temporarily your desktop you have to do a pawn, joining all your fingers and placing them on the notepad, then you have to spread them all.

Apr 11, 2014 2:00 AM in response to AdrienCby Maz K,Hey there AdrienC,
Actually your suggestion is wrong!!!
It does not answer the original post. Your suggestion is a temporary one and as soon as you open an app, all the temporarily closed apps/windows come back.
I suggest you try Aikhian's suggestion of Command+Option+H+M which IS CORRECT. Try it and see the difference between their permanent solution and your temporary one! The original post is asking how to minimise the desktop applications similar to a Windows D (I think) and the finger gestures you have just suggested does not do this.
