where to download iphoto 9.0?

Where can I download iphoto 9.0?

I'm upgrading from 8.1.2 to current upgrade, 9.4. When I downloaded 9.4, I'm told that 9.1 or later is required, and when I'm trying to download 9.1, I'm told that I need 9.0 which I can't find.

Thanks all!

iPhoto '11, Mac OS X (10.7.5)

What would be really helpful would be to answer the question rather than offer negative, offensive responses becasue you think you know better. In my case, I cannot download my photos to my iPhone to dropbox (online), not dropbox folder on my computer - the idea is to free memory, not fill up more. Photos won't let you do that, Apple has decided that you must use their products and Dropbox is fine for dropping photos into, but they can't be extracted from Photos. However, they can be extracted from iPhoto and I'm currently running Maverick so I need iPhoto 9 to download to use that option. Otherwise despite my photos being my own work, I am unable to extract them from an Apple product, which is in effect, stealing. So this is the frustration and frustrated even more by this petty squabbling instead of offering olive branches and support to those in need.

Perhaps you need to explain the problem you are having more clearly.

Of course you can get images out of Photos, and in much the same ways as iPhoto too. Apple have not decided that you "must" used their products, you're perfectly free to use any that you want, though you may need to learn how to use them.

If you're wondering how to get images from an iPhone to a Mac - regardless of OS on either - try Image Capture (in the Applications Folder)

But that's just a guess, as you're post isn't clear about the issue you have.

And no, there's no where you can download iPhoto 9.

Yes, It should be available 10 years after!! It's a racket Apple is running these days... obviously they've crossed to the dark side. iTunes upgrades for iphone that it no longer works with your computer - with no warning mind you.. forcing you to spend more money to buy a new one. If you make a product, you need to support it. For god sakes they are making half their crap overseas as it is. I guess that's just not enough.

If you are running Mavericks you could not use Photos anyway, because it is installed by OS X 10.10.3 or newer versions.

iPhoto'11, versions 9.0 to 9.4.3 are still available, if you purchase them. If you are using iPhoto 8.1.2 now, you are running the iPhoto release that came for free with new Macs with MacOS X 10.5.x before 2010. iPhoto '11 came for free with new Macs with Snow Leopard, MacOS X 10.6.x or newer. But user with the older release installed had always to purchase the major iPhoto upgrades, unless they bought a new Mac with the new version.

So follow OT'S advice and purchase an iLife '11 installer from Amazon or eBay.

Can you help me? I am trying to move my photos as events from iPhoto to my PC. I currently have almost 25k photos, so I don't want to lose the "events" organization I have set up over the past 7 years. My MacBook is out of space. I figured out how to export in iPhoto, but it doesn't give me an option to move as "events". I have iPhoto version 8.1.2. As you mentioned above, I cannot download iPhoto 9.0 (as I was hoping it would have the option to export as "events").

I would GREATLY appreciate any help you can give me. I am getting frustrated and just want to free up space and keep my 25k photos organized on the PC.

Thanks!!

Apple offers free updates - as long as the first number of the version number stays the same. For major new releases you need to purchase the new version. A new release that needs to be purchased has a version number that will start with a different number. The upgrade from iPhoto 8.1.2 to any iPhoto 9.x.x version requires a purchase.

But be aware that Apple is no longer developing and supporting iPhoto. The Places feature in iPhoto 9.4 does no longer work and you can no longer order Print products from iPhoto. I would not invest into buying deprecated software.
