iPhone 4 error 3194 during phone restore after iOS 6 update.

I have an iPhone 4 on Verizon. I downloaded and installed the new iOS 6 successfully. Afterwards, cellular service is "searching". iPhone cannot make or receive calls. Please restore your iPhone using iTunes to be able to make a call. Restore has been attempted multiple times, including re-downloading the OS. The iPhone cannot be restored due to unknown error 3194. The phone is clean and has not had any modifications done to it. Is anyone else experiencing this?
