After iOS6, my wi-fi keeps disconnecting! Anyone else having this issue?

After iOS6, my wi-fi keeps disconnecting!

I'll be playing an online game and every-so-often, my wifi will disconnect. Very annoying when the game im playing requires you to stay til the end to receive points if you win.

I know its not a problem with my router as this problem only started after i installed iOS6.

After the IOS 6 update to my new 4s, wi-fi dropped in the middle of the night and switched to cellular, uploaded my iCloud backup, then switched back again to wi-fi. This happened 4 times before I caught it. I wouldn't have even known except that I got a text from Verizon saying that I had used 50% of my data limit in just 6 days.

So far, Apple says this problem is only an iPhone 5 problem, but I think it's an IOS 6 problem.

It is sooo true i have this problem too, just when i lock the screen off, after 2 min i check it and i see that the wifi is not connected anymore and the wifi icon is not there too, so i have slide to unlock the screen to reconnect to the wifi. Is there any help or something i should do to fix this issue? Because it is relly so annoying... Tx

Yup same problem here... can't find a way to fix it, except constantly reconnecting manually after unlocking the iPhone.

It is propably a software glitch - as usual, it seems to be a recurring event, when new OS are released (OS and iOS), so the next major software update for iOS will propably fix it.

I'm still having problems with my Wi-Fi after upgrading to Mt. Lion... sigh.

The next update - according to rumours - should be in the offing; so guess we just have to endure it for some more time.

I seem to be having the same problem with the wi-fi, but mine also extends to my phone too - shows I have full signal strength, but won't let me dial out, then sometimes it does and then sometimes it cuts me off! A bit of me thinks my iphone is about to roll over and expire and it's just giving me a early warning, but having read this discussion I feel there is a glimmer of hope that it's all just Apple (iOS6 & Mountain Lion on my iMac) - hurry up with those updates Apple - PLEASE!! It wouldn't be so bad if they just confirmed with everyone there's a problem and that the fix is on it's way!! Communication, Apple, it is the future!! 🙂
