Can I use REMOTE DESKTOP to access my computer in my office and work from home?
If not what's the best application to do it?

Talk to the IT/Network/security people in your office. I work from home, but need to use speical secured VPN software because I work with personal information. "Remote viewing" may not be allowed if special-secured VPN gateways are required.
All I want is something similar to Team Viewer... But better!

I am being serious. If I even tried to set up a VPN-server from the office to use from home (which complex network blocks would prevent), I would be subject to HIPAA (the medical security regulations) penalties of many year in federal prison and north of $10k penatlies.
I hope you do not have the same remote access restrictions.
Ask if they will provide you a laptop with their approed securty software -- that way you do not care why/how of the security and they get hit if the precautions are not enough.

I already have the laptop... but it's a marketing agency and need to access the HD with elements... like brandsquares and images...
we don't have such a network protocol (VPN) we are too small.
