FaceTime... There is a picture that shows up when I make and receive calls. This is not a pic a chose. How do I change this picture?

FaceTime... Has posted a picture that I did not choose. How do I change picture?

To change your FaceTime call photo; I believe you do that by editing your Contacts photo. If you don’t list 'yourself' in 'Contacts' then add yourself and choose the photo you like. The email and/or phone number that is assigned in Contacts & your AppleID is 'you' so perhaps that same email was used on another contact and FaceTime is showing it or; someone played with your device and did that to you…


Also: what Ralph9430 said regarding FaceBook maybe correct but I have not yet tested FaceTime or used the FaceBook-app

The photo options in Facetime are filed in Recents.You need to add photos from your Macbook to Recents


I added new photos by going into System Preferences - Users & groups


Click on YOUR photo and you are shown Defaults-Recents-Camera


Open the Recents photos


Open Finder go to your Photos file or wherever you file your photos.


Drag chosen photo to the Recents


I found that my Facetime photo changed to the one added to Recents
