FaceTime... There is a picture that shows up when I make and receive calls. This is not a pic a chose. How do I change this picture?

To change your FaceTime call photo; I believe you do that by editing your Contacts photo. If you don’t list 'yourself' in 'Contacts' then add yourself and choose the photo you like. The email and/or phone number that is assigned in Contacts & your AppleID is 'you' so perhaps that same email was used on another contact and FaceTime is showing it or; someone played with your device and did that to you…

Also: what Ralph9430 said regarding FaceBook maybe correct but I have not yet tested FaceTime or used the FaceBook-app

Did you get a solution? I have the same problem and am absolutely frustrated because I can't find an answer either. When I call someone, an image appears on their screen that I did not set and I want to change. It is not from facebook, it isn't even me. Surely it is something simple somewhere...

You need to go into contacts, find the person you want, at the bottom of the contact page right side , tap edit and then tap the photo well, you then have a choice to change the picture.

Do what Anthony suggests for your contact info. If Facebook sharing is turned on you might see your Facebook profile pic. You can add a pic of yourself to your photo library and use that for FaceTime.

The photo options in Facetime are filed in Recents.You need to add photos from your Macbook to Recents

I added new photos by going into System Preferences - Users & groups

Click on YOUR photo and you are shown Defaults-Recents-Camera

Open the Recents photos

Open Finder go to your Photos file or wherever you file your photos.

Drag chosen photo to the Recents

I found that my Facetime photo changed to the one added to Recents

What are you talking about?

The photo that others see when you call them on FaceTimne is set by the other users.

Settings your photo in your contact list does not make it show up on other user's FaceTime.
