Why I can't sign in to my Yahoo email account?

I have 2 different email addresses at Yahoo, so I need to sign in to them several times a day. So to sign in I do it at yahoo.com (I don't have any of this 2 email addresses set on the direct mail I receive on my iPad). But since I updated to ios 6.0 everytime I try to sign in to my email accounts after giving my usename and password my email starts to load but before it s fully loaded Yahoo again asks for my password, again I give my password my email starts to load and again my password is requested. I have erased my cookies and it helps on the first time I sign in to my emaill acount, but on the second time issue appears again. I can't be erasing my cookies everytime I need to check my emails. What can I do to solve this issue? Anyone is having also this issue? Should Apple or Yahoo or me solve it?

I had the same problem a few minutes ago. I also have 2 accounts...my main account that goes directly to my Mail app, and another secondary yahoo account that I normally access through Safari.

I also got the same message...them asking for my password, then after loading, will ask again for the passsword...again and again.

What I did was:

1. I deleted my secondary Yahoo account in the mail section: Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Yahoo!>choose the account then press "delete account" (pls note that I included my secondary yahoo account in this section, if you didnt, then I guess u dont need to do this)

2. I cleared History and Cookies/ Data:

Setiings>Safari>Click Clear History and Click Clear Cookies and Data

3. After all this, reboot. Press sleep button and home button at the same time til the Apple icon appears. Then re-open.Go to Safari, and sign in to your Yahoo acoount. It should be okay by then. Good luck!

oh sorry...now I get what u mean. I signed out to my yahoo, then signed in again.....and yes, like you, they asked for my password again 😟 i guess we just need to clear cookies/history everytime we need to check our mail. Just a suggestion...if you have 2 yahoo accounts..place one account in your Mail app...and your second account, via Safari. The mail app works fine...so just keep your second yahoo account signed in permanently in Safari (so u dont need to clear cookies/history every time). Not a real "solution"..but this is just my practical suggestion. Apple needs to correct this bug, though.

Texas Mac Man..your undeniable.. Consumer all over the continent should not suffer for this iOS 6 messhap.. we should not configure at all..Its not yahoo fault as well if we cannot log on.. it should be automatic.. When Microsoft do an Update.. they will not touch any our Programs or apps its just be an update.. Apple want all there product just all Apple and it dont work like that now this days..from now on I'm staying away from all Apple products...

Thanks for the support links, but none helped me. This issue began after ios6 download day, is there a link specific to - it was always working great until iOS 6 arrived? Now can't access mail through the new safari, ditto what everyone else has spoken about, AND my Mail App won't now connect with the mail server. That started the same time, after iOS 6 downloaded. Funny though my wife's mail app with yahoo accounts on her ipad 2 is working! Other iPad browsers retrieve mail just fine on iPad 3.
