Can I have two iCloud accounts

My family have several apple products/devices. We use individual profiles on our iMac and Macbooks to keep our things separate.

My question is, is it possible to create separate iCloud account names, so that when Mail, Calendar entries, etc sync, they don't overlap? Right now, we only have one iCloud address, and I'm afraid it's going to create overlaps and such.

Yes, you can. In fact, it's recommended that everyone have their own iCloud account. Otherwise all synced the data you sync to a shared iCloud account will be merged and appear on all connected devices. (Note, contrary to what is stated in the article, with iOS 6 you can now also share your photo stream without having to shar an iCloud account.)

I appreciate your help! I should have provided more detail. Here's the full picture (hopefully):

There are two of us sharing one iMac computer which has a profile for each user on it (including iTunes). We both have our own iPhones as well. To date, we've been sharing the same iTunes account and the same iCloud account name. So, you can imagine the mess of overlapping information on the two phones.

My goal is to leave my account as is. But to take my husband's iPhone and create both a new iCloud and separate iTunes account in his profile on the iMac. I'm thinking this will keep everything on his phone in sync with his iMac profile, and everything on my phone in sync with my iMac profile.

If that is accurate, that means that I do not need to make any changes on my phone or profile. But I will need to make the changes in his iTunes account, as well as to create a new iCloud account name and password for his profile and phone. How do I do that, if I'm correct?

OK. On your husband's phone you will need create a new account with the correct ID and migrate his data to the new account. To do this, first go to Settings>iCloud on his phone and turn all data he is syncing with iCloud (contacts, calendars, etc.) to Off. When prompted choose to keep the data on his iPhone. After everything is turned off, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. (This will only delete the account from his phone, not from iCloud. Your phone will not be effected by this.) Next, set up a new iCloud account using a different Apple ID, then turn iCloud syncing for his data (contacts, etc.) back to On. When prompted, choose Merge. This will upload his data to this new account. At this point you will have two different iCloud accounts, one for each phone, with identical data on them.

You will then have to go to icloud.com on your computer and sign into each iCloud account separately and manually delete the unwanted data (such as deleting his contacts from your account, and vice versa). These changes will be refelected on each device. When finished you should have individual iCloud accounts with just your own data on them.
