After all the hassle I dealt with to get this phone it won't even connect to iTunes! My computer does not even show it connect. I kept thinking it was my computer and took it up to Geek Squad to find out there's nothing wrong with my computer. It also won't find my 2nd gen iTouch. What the heck am I suppose to do with it? I had a 4s that was syncing and backed up just fine hours before this happened. HELP!

What version of iTunes are you running please?
You should factory reset the iPhone and then restore from back up. This happened to me and was the only way to fix it.
Itunes 10.7. I've installed, uninstalled, and reinstalled it about 5x now.
Restore it? It's brand new. What much is there to restore?
I know but this is what I did to make it work.
Reset all setting under general settings, Right?
Did not work.

This is what I did:
I went to control panel and unistalled iTunes completely, then I installed 10.6.3

It came up with an error saying that my library had beed used with a more updated verision, basically had to upgrade. I installed iTunes 10.7
After it had installed and iTunes was running I hooked up both my iPhone and my flash drive, I have more than 1 usb port I figure most computers do now, and by the time and date in the bottom right corner a small icon came up showing that I had devices hooked up. It showed both my iPhone (but did not know what it was) and my flash drive. If you right click on the iPhone it has the option to Troubleshoot it. I did it and my iPhone 5 now FINALLY SYNCS!
I'm sooo happy now.
I had the same problem. Reinstalled everything and still nothing. Came across this article:

I changed my syncing cable and it worked! Try that if all else is failing.
Check out if another user on this Mac is already using iTunes. If true quit this user´s iTunes. Log in in your own account again and restart your iTunes.
