2012-09-23: cannot get Itunes to recognize Iphone4s on new Dell XPS8500 5i (64bit) with Windows7 Home edition. I have: (1) verified cable is OK (2) phone charges on usb port(s), (3) installed and re installed Itunes. Apple advice?

Ok, I have an Apple IPHONE4s upgraded to the latest OS. I have a Dell XPS8500 with Windows7 Home. I can't get the phone recognized on I tunes.

It works fine on an XP machine. I am trying to find out if very high speed new Dell 64bit systems have a conflict with Itunes etc. Are there any technical papers which discuss these sorts of conflicts. I have worked on and off for a week trying to find out where the conflict is.
