Can anyone tell me how to remove a product that I downloaded called MacScan?

According to SecureMac (the Developer) just drag the MacScan 2 folder to trash and empty it:

I tried that, but it still exists and wont allow me to shut down my computer
I assume you have quit the application before trying to delete it.
Another thing to check to make sure some background process isn't running: Utilities>Activity Monitor - select All Processes at the top. Can you see anything running that says MacScan or SecureMac, if so, select it and click on the big red 'quit process' button at the top and then try deleting the MacScan 2 folder.
