how to cancel icloud downgrade

I have the same question, I can't figure it out to keep the same storage on my account. Only possibility is to up- or downgrade. I think that I decide to downgrade my account and use DropBox for storage; more possibilities.

I have 20GB right now, for $40/yr (25 effective, including the 5GB free storage).

In the Cancel Downgrade window, I'm offered 5GB (losing everything I have stored) or 10 GB... but no place to just CANCEL THE ****** UPGRADE and keep my 20GB plan.

In the "Buy More Storage" windwo, I'm only offered 50GB for $100/yr.

I don't NEED that much storage and I don't want to pay that much.

What the **** is going on with Apple????

Okay, I THINK I managed to keep my plan as is for next year - but PLEASE tell me if I don't have it, because the steps needed too keep my current plan as is wasn't immediately apparent.

I have the 20GB $40/year plan.

In the Downgrade Options window, once you get there via iCloud Storage on your iPhone or iPad, you'll see your Current plan with two Downgrade options below.

Apple has "helpfully" checked "5GB Free" which would of course wipe out much of my stored data.

Click your CURRENT PLAN at the top - the checkmark will move. I THINK (I hope) that took care of it, because neither downgrade option is checked anymore.

Does anyone know for certain? It would be nice if Apple sent a helpful confirmation email after this procedure is done, but noooo.

Thanks, I followed your path and got a response that my renewal request is the same as my currect plan (20GB $40.00 / year in my case). so it seemed to work.

It is a very poor UI decision to make someone go through a "downgrade" path to renew their currect plan.
