    This is definately not a fix for my push problem.


    I only show 50 recent messages.  I only have 1 week of mail syncing from my exchange work inbox.


    I do have an icloud account.  But, my gmail account is just IMAP and I have my gmail contacts setup with CardDAV.

    Spidertaker23. Check the notification center for mail. Check whether is on. If it is on. Turn it off and back on for each mail account.

    hmmm, why would toggling notifications center for my accounts prevent aspd push crashes?

    because it is my impression that push goes to the notification center and if it has been queued up then it may reset. but who knows it worked for th emost part. Did it work for you?

    One thing I am noticing after trying Cloudwire's instructions is that apsd crashes (however it does restart itself as I can check running processes with SysMon app) and the push stops, however I left the phone alone and did not restart and some time later the push notifications resumed. Not exactly sure what is going on.


    In any case, there is definitely a bug to be fixed.

    once the queue is freed up that's when it restarts I would think.

    Well spoke too soon. After push working for an hour or two it stopped again. Tried turning on and off notifications and that didn't work either. Cant get push to work at all now. Hope this gets resolved soon.

    You might want to wait a bit, like an hour or so, then try a test message again. There have been periods where I thought push was down for good, but then they came later. So, for me it's now looking intermittent and unreliable.


    For me, apsd is definitely crashing (I've got the logs), but the process does restart itself. I still lose push after that, but at some point it starts working again, could be hours later.


    I hope this is fixed soon. The rumor is end of this month there will be an iOS update.

    I've been experiencing the same issue since 9/26, and it appears I've had one of the more extensive cases.  Not only would Exchange fail to push, but it would also hang and draw battery power.  Calendar updates also failed.


    I tried almost every iteration of suggested fix, including hard resets, deleting and re-adding accounts, resetting network settings, restore from back ups and restore as new.  Nothing worked permanently, though hard resets would allow the Exchange mail to load for one sync cycle. 


    Worthy to note, I have an Exchange, iCloud and Yahoo account. 


    I could tell it would not work because when I would try to add Exchange it would take all the settings, then hang for several minutes "saving" the account.


    Today I tried restoring as new and completely skipped the iCloud process.  Guess what? Exchange email, calendars and phone books all work great!  As soon as I added the iCloud account, the Exchange account would fail.  Then, it was impossible to delete the iCloud or Exchange account without the process freezing.  Everything else worked, but the delete process would hang.


    So my conclusion is there is a bug that prevents iCloud and Exchange from working side-by-side.  I don't think it is device-specific.  But there are probably a relatively small number of people using both iCloud and Exchange on the phone at the same time. 


    My work-around for now is to run Exchange as normal, and not run iCloud.  I'm giving-up wireless back-ups, wireless iCal sync, wireless address book sync, and the find my phone functions.  Unfortunately I find all of those services critical, and unique advantages to owning an iPhone.  I cancelled my iPhone 5 order and will wait to see if Apple corrects the bug.  If they do not, the phone is not uniquely and valuable to me and I will explore other options.

    After our company received the new iphone 5 we only activated one phone incase there was an issue like this.  After Two weeks our IT figured out why the iphone would not push through emails.  It's an email capacity issue. 

    "Push" Issue has to do with the amount of emails sitting on the web mail.  Our company holds every past email on the webmail, this is thousands of emails, let's put it this way, in one day I alone receive over 200 hundred emails.  When the iphone tries to retrieve current emails it is also trying to push through all the emails on the webmail which the new IOS is incapable of doing over a certain capacity. So you will receive the message "CANNOT GET MAIL, The connection to the server failed".

    I.T. resolved this issue by backing up all emails on the Exchange server for each user.  Then Moved all emails off the webmail to a local PC leaving only the current emails sitting in webmail.  Now our IT has to make sure old emails are moved from the webmail weekly, keeping emails in the webmail to a minimum. Now some companies might not be facing any issues because they probably archive old emails on the webmail.  Our IT did not archive old emails from webmail because they thought they would give employees the capability of looking at old emails from webmail not only their PC.  Since this "PUSH' issue, IT found that employees were not accessing webmail for old emails, they were logging into their office PCs to view old emails, so not having old emails on the webmail is not an issue for our company.   And resolving the issue in this manner worked for us.  Not sure if it's a solution for everyone.

    P.S. This also effected Calendars, notes, contacts,etc since we resolved the email exchange "Push" issue, all other features are synching too.

    Unfortunately, this seems like a different issue because Exchange Push works just fine over Wi-Fi.   Also, I manage our Exchange 2010 server here and I setup a brand new account with no emails, etc.   and eventually push failed even with little to no emails in that account and with Cellular Data turned on.  


    Once I turn off cellular data and just use Wi-Fi, no problems at all.

    Finally my issue is fixed.. figured out the problem..  I was using an Apple product that cares more about users taking pics of the sun then fix something minor like email.  Returned for Android...working 48 hours with no issues..  try it..see if it works for you..

    We've tried every single suggestion up to and including today's posts.  All are temporary fixes before it breaks again.  As Frank has said repeatedly, "it's broke and needs a fix."  I got lucky and had Exchange Push working flawlessly for 10 days.  Then, one calendar invite I accepted this morning and it just broke.  We give up.  Past iOS  releases patched this up within a week.  We can't afford to wait this long in our shop.  Failure to get push notifications has serious public safety ramifications for us. We've stopped the rollout of the iPhone 5, iOS 6, and all Apple devices in our region.  We're switching to Andriod and BlackBerry.

    Made an appointment with the Genius Bar today.  They were unfamiliar with the issue, so I demonstrated the phone successfully running exchange.  I then demonstrated the issue of mail and calendars failing to load once I added my iCloud account. 


    After trying a couple of things, they asked if I would like a new iPhone 4 - reason being they are loaded with 5.1.1.  I gave them a resounding YES!  For what it is worth, I purchased Apple Care in 2/11 when I originally upgraded.


    So now I'm back to September 24 condition - same phone, same specs (new battery), and could not be happier.  It's back to "It just works"


    I may consider upgrading if the inevitable ios 6 update identifies a fix between Exchange and iCloud.

    They'll fix it; they have to.  Apple is well-aware of the issue and will release an update.
