I just started having the same problem. Got my 64gb AT&T Black iPhone 5 on the 21st. Had a great first week with it until this started happening. Almost feels like that old crappy Blackberry with the cheap cliking feedback screen.

To be clear, the screen makes a slight popping and clicking sound under light pressure from tapping.

Apple has no stock for replacements anywhere in DC. Apple, help me out here!

Was able to get in to the Tyson's Corner, VA, Genius Bar this morning where they swapped out the device for me. The tech noted that she was able to hear the popping, but suggested that it may be like the rear glass issue on the 4S which Apple considered "normal". If Apple does indeed intend their flagship product to sound like a Blackberry Storm when you type on the screen, the quality control in the post-Steve Jobs era has gone WAY south. Hopefully the tech was just saying that.

The new device seems to be ok, but has been having trouble hanging on to an LTE signal. Hopefully that's not indicative of another issue... because I'm getting real sick of this.

Same here. UK 32gb Black iPhone 5. Bottom right of the screen and getting worse. Apple will replace but they were out of stock. Also, this phone has the worst signal of any iPhone I have owned and I have had evey generation. It's far worse than the 4 ever was.

Apples quality on these devices is tanking. Carries on like this I won't be staying using their devices.

I have the same problem. If I press on the screen on either the left or the right side in the middle of the phone, it moves a little down. If I let go, it pops up with an audible click. Seems I can push it down quite far, at least half a millimeter. It's visible.

Hehe, I read this as: "You will have to take it to Apple so that they can take time and take more time as to take more time or more time".

The phone works fine, and I cannot miss it for even a day. So I'm not bringing it in for replacement and will use this 'feature' to entertain my friends once in a while.

After two weeks of having the iphone5, I noticed that the screen is loose when I heard a clicking sound from the upper left screen. I went to SMART Telecoms (Philippine carrier), to have it checked and they accuse me of mishandling without having Apple check the phone. While Apple website and customer service say to contact carrier for repair or warranty problems. I think I'm stuck in a loop of no customer service. And here I thought that by getting an iphone I would get excellent customer service.

Does anyone know where can I escalate this issue?

Thanks for your help!
