Why isn't save photos/add to iPhoto from emails working any more?

Since updating OSX 10.8.2 on macbook pro and downloading IO6 to iPhone,

I can no longer save photos/ add to iPhoto from emails on MacBook Pro.

MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.1)
