ios 6 Bug with calendar alerts "at the time of the event"

I upgraded to iOS6 on my iPhone 4s this weekend and found that my I no longer get calendar alerts for events I have with a reminder set to go off "at the time of the event". I have a recurring event every day that is 0 minutes long, and with a reminder at the time of the event. However, I haven't gotten the reminder for the last 3 days. At the time of the event, the screen turns on like it has a reminder to display and alert me to, but no alert appears and no alert reminder sound is played.

I've tried creating new events, both through my Google Calendar and on the phone itself with a reminder at the time of the event and the same thing occurs, the phone display turns on for a few seconds, but no reminder and no alert sound. If I set the alert to anything else (5 minutes prior, 10 minutes prior, etc), it works correctly.

Does anyone else have this issue, or have any idea how to solve it?
