The scanner on my Canon inkjet printer MG6200 series will not work with Mountain Lion. How can I fix this?

The MP Navigator software in my scanner cannot be opened since I installed Mountain Lion. Canon say they don't have a way of fixing this, so is there a solution out there I wonder?

I have the MG6250 and MP Navigator v5.0.2 is working on my 10.8.2 Mac, so I don't know why the Canon support is telling you that it cannot be fixed.

To use MP Navigator you must have the full scanner driver installed. And when it is installed you then need to configure MP Navigator to use the networked MG62xx.

Also ensure you are using the latest version of MP Navigator. Try trashing the one you currently have in Applications > Canon Utilities and then installing this latest version.

How do you configure MP Navigator? My problem is that my previous computer had no wireless, so when I installed the printer, it was via a cable. I want to use wireless scanning with my new macbook, and everytime I try to do it, it says that the printer isn't on or the cable is disconnected.
