For me the subscriptions was the key. I have recently solved this problem by removing my subscriptions. I had week numbers and Swedish holidays. When I removed these the list start working fine again. Hopes this helps someone.

This problem has been driving me crazy since the update. I am so happy I finally found this thread. Good to know I'm not alone.
Originally I tried deleting iCal from the cloud and resubscribing but it didn't work. I'll try the other suggestion here. Mine also goes crazy with the "today" button. The first couple of times i press it it just jumps to some random date. It only settles on the right day after a few tries.
Off to delete my subscribed calendars.

First of all this is more a reply to all on the thread- thanks for all of the suggestions. I feel less alone knowing I'm not the only one with this annoying issue. I tried exactly what you suggested but sadly, it didn't work. I also deleted my google calendars and resubscribed- that too didn't fix the problem. Only when I completely removed the google calendars (both from my iPhone and my Mac ) did the skipping stop. The problem is I NEED MY GOOGLE CALENDARS TOO! My work uses one that I must have added to my calendar collection. Apple if you are listening...PLEASE FIX THIS!

This annoying problem exists in iOS 7.1 Calendar as well. If you use the iOS7.1 list view in the Calendar app and you have subscribed calendars, you will encounter this problem.
I have some subscriptions to a couple of sports team schedules in my iOS calendar. It is not just google calendar subscriptions that have this problem.
