iOS 6 muffled ringtone if bluetooth connected

Hello,

Since I updated my iPhone 4S to ios 6 my ringtone sounds very muffled if my bluetooth headset (Plantronics Voyager Pro HD) is connected to the phone. If the headset is not connected the ringtone sounds normal. If the headset get connected to the phone while ringing the sound even gets muffled - and the other way around.

That's very annoying because it is really hard to hear the phone ringing - lots of missed calls.

Hope somebody can help me or faces the same problem. Thanks!

Plus one on that. I'm using iPhone 4 and old school APPLE bluetooth earpiece.

iPhone 1 Ring Tone on phone, beep in earpiece

iPhone 2 and up Ring Tone on phone AND Ring Tone in ear.

IOS6 very muffled ring tone on phone and Ring Tone in ear (normal volume)

This feels like a new "feature" that ended up being a bug. The eirpiece might not be in your ear when it rings, so a muffled ring tone is counter productive.

This issue remains the same after upgrading to 6.0.1. Does someone have any cure/suggestion????

The solutions at this time, is a switch to iPhone 5. No problem there...

To be honest, I'd prefer a software workaround rather than spending $975 for a new device (that's equal to € 750 for the ipnone5 16 gb without dataplan in Greece).

If there's no other way, I would happily live with my 4 and its muffled sound for another year.
