I'm getting a ear piece speaker buzzing in my iPhone 5?

When I make phone calls I'm getting a very odd ear piece speaker buzzing intermitently occuring on my iPhone 5. It sort of sounds like a buzzing you get from a bad speaker cone. Is this normal? Anyone else getting this noise in their iPhone 5? Should I try returning this phone? Maybe be a lemon since I'm getting the Wifi issues and battery charge problems as well. Doesn't sound like software.

I've got the same buzzing problems with my new iPhone 5. It starts as soon as I start to call someone, even before the other end starts ringing, and seems to be there constantly during the call.

I've booked an appointment at my local Apple Genius Bar on Monday.

Don't know what they will do if it needs replaced as they are currently sold out!!

My iPhone 5 is a week old and yesterday I started to notice the same buzzing noise (and really a vibration on my ear) occasionally while on a phone call. I have noticed no other issues with the phone, but I agree that for a new device this is quite annoying. When time allows I plan on making a trip to the Apple store to see if this is a widely reported issue and if there is anything that can be done about it. In the mean time if anyone gets an answer please share with the group. I have seen reports of this issue on the iPhone 4s so perhaps it is just one of those quirky issues that we will have to live with if we are committed to the iPhone. BTW, I am a new Apple convert from the Galaxy S technology and hope that I don't regret the switch.

I found some possible solutions that i will try out found on this forum: http://www.watchfreeks.com/view_topic.php?id=34991&forum_id=88

And here are some possible solutions that i will try... BTW i too have a Lifeproof case.

Possible LifeProof case solution:

It's the Lifeproof case that causes the hum. I read it on a site that has reviews of the case. You need to decrease the air pressure of the case. This is acomplished by pushing in the clear plastic square while putting the phone in the case. It fixed my hum. Good luck.

Possible iPhone 5 Confguration solution:

I have the same problem. My iPhone 5 is brand new. I shut all the vibrate options and that seemed to work so far.
