Problems when updated to iOS 6

Since I updated my iPhone 4S and iPad to iOS 6 I have encountered several problems:

1. I can receive and read emails but I can't send one using yahoo, gmail and hotmail. Tried the apple support solutions such as restarting the gadgets, changing wifi to 3G connection, deleting email accounts and adding them again but it did not work.

2. I can't open my yahoo messenger now though initially I can use it after the upgrade.

3. I have configured the iMessage in my iPhone to receive messages from all servers (yahoo, gmail & hotmail) and set my cellular network number as the default. In my iPad, same settings except the default is yahoo since I can only access wifi and no cellular network. But every time an imesaage is received, it goes both to my iPhone and iPad???

4. I cannot connect to iTunes store!! I updated my desktop iTunes but still I can't connect to iTunes in my iPad and iPhone.

5. Volume for both ipad and iphone are now low despite setting it to maximum levels. I can't hear the notifications most of the time.

6. When I used FaceTime to talk to a friend who decided not to upgrade her iOS yet, we are having the same problems with the volume and mike. Either it is too low or you can't hear anything at all. Internet connection is working fine since the video is working perfectly.

7. The battery of my iPad is now draining TOO FAST!!! I did not notice the same thing with my iPhone. I charged my iPad to 100% when I left home at 1 pm and 13 hours later my battery is only 34%!!! I used the ipad approximately 3 hours only TRYING TO SEND THOSE EMAILS, TROUBLESHOOTING THE VOLUME OF THE SPEAKER AND NOTIFICATIONS, OPENING YM AND BROWSING THE NET FOR SOLUTIONS!!!

8. Merged contacts are now separated!!

9. Invites were automatically sent to some of my contacts from viber, heywire and tango when I access them for the first time.

10. Youtube app is gone!??

I haven't used all the applications yet but I have this feeling that I have yet to encounter MORE problems once I do!

To Apple: why update your software without considering compatibility issues to other programs and affecting even the volume??? Since most of our installed applications are malfunctioning, what is the use of all these gadgets now??? You have caused me and thousand of others a lot of inconvenience especially in accessing and sending important emails to our contacts/work. I have shifted from android to apple for less than a year and I had to go to apple store 2 or 3x to have my ipad checked due to a lot of problems after using it for just 1 month until finally they replaced my unit with a new one only when I video recorded the problems since their engineers always claim that they did not encounter those problems during check up!!?? The replacement was even delayed due to shipping problems. Now, 2 days after upgrading to iOS 6 both my iPad and iPhone are malfunctioning!!!

I hope you can find solutions to these problems you technically created SOON.

Read a lot of thread regarding their disappointments with iOS6. Unfortunately, I haven't read any statements from apple. I just read a few new threads and deleted few emails and I was suprised to notice that the battery of my iPhone is just 86% from 98%. I did not play any video or songs. :-( im planning to reset my apple gadgets and maybe convert it back to iOS5. Thanks for sharing your problems and I will notify you if I have come across a solution.

Apple - Fix this!!!!!!

Apple, THIS IS WHERE YOU NEED TO LOOK on iOS 6 regarding "WIFI Lockout"!!!!!!

When this happens (WIFI freezes up aka "WIFI Lockout") – you can not get on internet while using WIFI!!!!!

You could be in the middle of surfing or using any app that makes data calls based on DNS and suddenly you can go no where or do nothing!

Yea sure, you can restart the WIFI connection, but WHO wants to CONTINUALLY do that?????

Apple (or any curious iOS 6 user that wants to see my point), when this happens open up a browser before you reset, disconnect/reconnect WIFI ( I tried both safari and chrome ) and type type 74.125.227.144 (google) and then “go”. A google search page will come up and you will be able to execute a search. (of course any link you click on will not work as it is dependant on DNS resolution)

Non DNS traffic works so the issue is not the WIFI connection to the access point!

APPLE, FOCUS ON FIXING THIS DNS DATA ISSUE AND YOU WILL GET MANY PEOPLE OFF YOU BACK!!!!

I KNOW THIS IS NOT ALL OF THE PROBLEMS WITH iOS 6, BUT THIS IS A HUGE PROBLEM NOT BEING ABLE TO SURF OR GET DATA THE iOS 6 DEVICE IS REQUESTING!!!!!

Seems like i'm the only one with a huge problem.

All my aps and programs closes themsefs after aprox 1-2 minutes.

The only program i can have open longer is the "Call" app.

Messages, email, maps, newsstand and ALL my other apps and program closes after 1-2 mins.

And allso the battery drains like a sink.

Charged to 100% this night, and after recieving 2 phonecalls (total 5 mins) and checked my e-mail once. The battery is now (4 hours later) 61%.

Is there a way to go back to 5.1.1, og make a new install of iOS 6?

I have made a reset, cleaned out my phone, all i can think of.

I have encountered many bugs since my upgrade to iOS 6.

1) no wifi connection (i have also tried to change the DNS, but i still could not use many apps like "Weather", Maps, Mail, SIRI etc.

2) SIRI does not work properly, but only sometimes, after repeating the same commands several times. SIRI does not work at all wih a bluetooth headset.

3) The downloads from the apple store are stucked and it is not possible to restore them.

4) My gmail account receiveis e-mails (with 3G connetion), but is not allowed to send any.

I have restored my iphone (4S) with the last backup, but nothing did change.

What can i do now?

I also have big problems about ios 6.

when will apple help us?

1- all my applications closes thems self in 1-2 minutes after using them. I can not use any application more than 1-2 minutes.

2- my battery drains to fast. I fully charged it. After 20 minutes it is less than %90.

and other same problems. These are the most important ones.

Your issue with FaceTime (#6) is what I've noticed the most. The noise cancellation in iOS 6 is way too aggressive for FaceTime and I would rather have the option to turn it on or off, or even a slider with notches for off/low/high.

FWIW, using Skype bypasses the noise cancellation so that has been an alternative solution for now, but I definitely think that the iOS upgrade has screwed up FaceTime and made it much more difficult to hear what's being said on the other end unless talking loudly.

You would think that the Apple people would have tested the noise cancellation with each other in FaceTime to see if they could actually hear one another without repeatedly saying, "What was that?"

iOS 6 and iPad 2 here. It was FaceTime for me. Went in and changed the volume of "sound effects" ***!?!

Now everything is normal volume again.

Still having problems wih PDF attachments in mail. First time opening is ok. Second time, it pops up a dialogue asking wha program I want to use. I click adobe reader and nothing happens. No program will open the PDF again.
