    My phone is doing it again.  Grass Valley, CA...  Phone thinks it's Sept 30 @ 11:15AM.

    Not at all and I appologise for my post being misleading... I was credited the amount I paid for my data plan from 30Sept (the date Apple replaced my phone) to 20October (the date the billing adjustment was made). The amount was prorated off my total data plan charges and the credit was applied to my next bill. Next month if this issue isnt resolved I should receive a credit for the full amount of my data plan.

    My date and time have been fine for the last 2 days. It just went "haywire" again. It is showing 8/26/12 11:57pm when it is actually 10/22/12 4:54pm. Thats like 57 days off.

    I am in Michigan too. Lansing area. My phone goes back to August 24th also. It started this on October 19th. Frustrated.

    Good news - my phone has kept the correct time all day. First day in the last seven for that to happen. Bad news - I had to turn off LTE in order to get those results. Could someone please just fix this?  I don't care whose fault it is. Just fix it. Customers shouldn't have these problems or have to sacrifice better service to avoid having issues.

    Forgot to add that these results lead me to believe that it is a Verizon issue, not the iPhone or apple.

    I've tried ALL the solutions on the dozens of pages in this thread. My iPhone 5 clock, date, & day STILL works about 1/4 of the time.  Just unexcusable.

    Dennis, so far all the suggestions in this thread are just attempts to correct the time and date once it switches. Inevitably the time and date will go wrong again at some point. No on knows how to fix it permanantly, thats the problem. The only sure way to keep the time from switching is to turn off LTE. Hardley accepatble on a $700+ phone, I know!

    I had my phone replaced on October 4th and have not had a time warp since. LTE has been on since I got the replacement phone.  For one week I traveled back and forth between LTE and 3G signals and then spent a week overseas in a 3G only network. Auto-update time/date setting has been off until yesterday, but so far so good.


    For what it's worth, on my old phone one of my time shifts was 100+ years into the future. Anyone else checking the year when they see that the time is off?


    Way back someone posted that Verizon admitted to the issue being a combination of the phone number, phone ID, and an old cell tower. If that's truly the case, perhaps getting a new phone will help. But I guess it's a roll of the dice as many people have encountered the same problem on replacement phones. And my limited positive experience isn't a guarantee that my problem is solved. My first phone ran perfectly for about two weeks until the shifting started.


    I'll leave auto-update date and time on until I see a problem. In a few days I'll successively turn on the additional auto time setting features found in Privacy and in Calendar support.


    Hoping we all get some credit for beta-testing these things!

    I had the time worp happen again.  I had the auto time turned off, but for some reason it switched back to auto (must be the default setting, and I did do a soft re-boot due to a game that froze up). and at around 6:AM this morning it switched to 7:14PM, with a date of Sept 3.  Not sure of the year.  I turned auto time back off, and it went to the correct day and time.

    I to have this problem. Although mine has only done it about 3 to 4 times. I am not in a good LTE area so I am not sure if it is the switch from LTE to 3G. I will have to follow up with the other trial and errors to see if anything else works.

    Called Verizon and raised some heck they are going to give me a credit to my account.

    My iPhone 5 is having the same issue on the verizon network.  It usually occurs when first coming back to my house or sometimes in the middle of the night, the date usually goes back to September 21st.  there are also times that it will just switch to a different time within the same day.  I tried turning off automatic time and that didn't help.  Yesterday I turned off LTE though and I havne't had the issue since, normally it happens at least twice a day.  I live in Bloomington IL and I've read a bunch of other posts from other central IL residents having the same problem.  Seeing as how AT&T customers aren't complaining about this, that Samsung Galaxy phones are also experiencing this behavior and that the problem doesn't occur when LTE is turned off, to me this points to an issue with Verizons LTE network.
