No Artwork displayed on iPod 60gig...

Hello!

I have an iPod with 60gigs and since I've updated to software version 1.1 I couldn't display any new CD-covers on the iPod screen related to the album that is playing. Strange thing is that when I play the same song from the iPod in my iTunes, then the cover is shown in the bottom left corner of iTunes.

I had it working with the factory software version 1.0, those covers were still displayed with v1.1 but I simply can't add new covers.

Now I have updated my iTunes to v.6.0.4.2 and the iPod software to 1.1.1 and it still doesn't work. Additionally all the covers I have added while running with iPod Software version 1 are gone now...
Still, the previously added covers are being displayed in iTunes when I play a song from the iPod with my computer...but not on the screen of the iPod when I play it there...

I seem to have a version of this problem also. Same iPod, but some artwork is shown while some is not. Same album, same artwork, but whether the artwork is displayed on the iPod is random - but it shows up fine in iTunes, just as you mention yours does.

What's up with that?

You guys have two different issues and thus two different possible solutions:

MrChris: click right on your iPod in iTunes, select: Show artwork on iPod (or something in that direction, I have iTunes in a different languge). If that doesn't work, try a reset or a restore with iPod Updater.

Why you're not able to upload new album art, I don't know. Usually a restore or a reset will fix the issue.

Gail: please install Firmware 1.1.1 using iPod Updater. I had the same issue when I was using 1.1. (from the information you've given, I cannot tell which firmware you're using, so I'm just wild guessing). If that doesn't work, try a reset or a restore.

I would rather, before trying to to the restore,set the ipod in disc mode. After that, make sure that you can see the hidden folder in the ipod and delete the contents of the artwork directory. Eject the ipod and connect it again and your artwork problems should go away. I tried tha with my 3 gb ipod when i noticed that some artwork was wrong and it corrected the problem.
