where on the logic board number is the model number located?

Where on the logic board number is the model number located? I need to replace the current board.

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.2)

It will be on a barcode, and is NOT necessarily what Courcoul references.

If I remember correctly you, as the original poster, can see buttons for "solved" (10 points) or "helped" (5 points) on each post in this thread. If you think one or more of these apply, click on those buttons. There may be a limit (one solve per thread? two helps per thread?) but I don't remember offhand.
