It is already bookmarked in Safari, also available as a download in iBooks.
No its not - the manual for IOS 5.1 is - useless.
There is not one available yet, your bookmark will take you to the iPad iOS 5 user guide and that is all that is available in iBookStore or from Apple.com in manuals. You'll just have to be patient.
What function specifically are you trying to look up?
Actually, the iOS 6 version IS available in the iBooks store. I have it already. Haven't checked the bookmark lately.
I thought that IO6 was supposed to stop the repeated requests for password for app update etc. Sorry I'm trying to set up my partners IPad and I dont want to waste time having a touchy feely time with it (it is nice but there are better things to be doing). So i want a step 1, step 2, step 3 guide
Can you give us the exact cite to find it as I just looked again and under various searches I never found one from Apple for iOS 6. I also checked my bookmark before answering. I also went to the Manuals page under support and there is no manual there in PDF format for the iPad using iOS 6. Seems odd they would have it in iBooks but not as a PDF manual for download.
I do have the one for the iPhone.
I just searched user guide in iBooks. I can screenshot it once I get my iPhoto back up and running (had to reinstall).

It is changed and does exactly that, I have not had to enter my password to update any apps.
I think what is happening in your case is you have apps on the iPad from more that one Apple ID.
Check Settings > Store > Apple ID and see which Apple ID is logged in on the iPad.
Yes, that link is the iPhone User guide which I already mentioned I had. The OP was asking for the iPad user guide.
I would be interested in seeing that as well. When I search, I only see the iPhone iOS 6 user guide. It's basically the same - but it would be nice to have the manual for the iPad.
Come on Apple just fix it! 😉
In the meantime, this may help.

 Cheers, Tom 😉
It may be my faulty memory for two days ago, but I think there was an iPad ios6 guide up on the apple site a couple days ago, because I downloaded the pdf in Safari and read several sections. It was iPad, not iPhone.... In any case, I closed out of Safari etc., then went back this morning to find it again, and it's not there.

I emailed Apple a couple of days ago and the person responding said that there was not yet an iPad user guid for iOS6. She suggested the iPhone guide which isn't a solution for me. Her final suggestion was that I keep checking the store (which I've been doing since iOS6 was released). I assume from this that one will be forthcoming--or maybe it's just wishful thinking.
