Can I use a D-Link DWM 156 data card on a Mac Book Air? Do I need Windows 7software?

I've tried to use D-Link's data card with MacBook Air. It doesn't recognize it, although the makers insist it does. No one can tell me how to configurate it.I read I might need to have Windows 7?
