Jan 15, 2013 9:54 AM in response to Gabex247by dysphonix,Interesting statement about the 800 numbers.
I too have an iPhone 5 that has issues with the digitized (robotic) voice, cut outs (has to do with noise gate/noise cancellation) and I have noticed that the problems are much worse when I call 1-800 numbers. Not sure if this is because the call quality is worse coming from mostly overseas or whether it has to do with the "translation" of calls between networks. Plus the overall tonal quality of the iphone 5 is terrible (all midrange frequencies, no highs or lows) is probably due to Verizon/ATT not implementing HD Voice technology over their networks.
Like some have mentioned, I have turned on Hearing Aid mode and that seems to have helped with some of the noise gating problem but still not 100% perfect. Especially when calling 800 #'s.
Apple..are you listening to us? Or do you not care if we start migrating over to Android?

Jan 15, 2013 10:01 AM in response to joos8123by unpunishable,Hi guys, same sh*t in Russia although no LTE here. Got mine as a gift, for the first few days all was fine. When the problems started I was blaming the carrier as the SIM inside wasn't mine, I wasn't sure about how MTC should sound.
Come on, Apple, don't break our hearts! Look at you! There are 39 pages of people with similar issues and you - are you just going to screw us? What a shame Steve Jobs can't see that - and pretty sure that wouldn't have happened AT ALL if he was in control.

Jan 15, 2013 10:17 AM in response to joos8123by Gabex247,This is so strange but has anyone else had their comments edited by host? I just placed another comment only indicating what has been going on within the forum and my post has been edited removing parts or entire sentences of the post?
This is ridiculous!!!!

Jan 15, 2013 10:49 AM in response to Charles Park Sewardby dysphonix,Hey mods, stop censoring our posts. You're making the situation worse. You're angering a crowd that has been disappointed because of a REAL flaw with your product.
These aren't rumors. We have real problems with our defective iPhone 5's.

Jan 15, 2013 11:03 AM in response to dysphonixby Gabex247,Very well said, peope are angry and to be honest, people wouldn't be as angry if they just admitted that there is an issue with the software or hardware and offered some sort of solution to get it fixed. When they change or delete those post's altogether, to me, it's a sign of addmittance of the problem.
I just got off the phone with an AT&T engineer who stated that they have indeeed found an issue with degradation within my area and their network and stated they would be calling me by the 17th to give me an update. I will keep everyone posted as to the findings and let's see if whatever they do, works.

Jan 15, 2013 11:49 AM in response to joos8123by nauticalendeavorer,I used chat with Apple support this afternoon and after trying the usual reboot and reset network settings, the tech told me it was probably a hardware problem. So I will take it to an Apple store and see if they will replace it for me.

Jan 15, 2013 2:27 PM in response to joos8123by dawnashley,Hi. Same problem here in uk with iPhone 5 on O2. Third iPhone 5 in 3 weeks. Call quality awful chopping in and out, robotic despite adequate signal bars. Initial iPhone 5 dropped almost very call. Very very disappointed as upgraded from perfectly good 3GS with crystal clear call quality. As a loyal apple follower (this is my 10th product purchase) I am losing faith!
